As recently reported, two serious security vulnerabilities (‘Meltdown’ & ‘Spectre’) have been identified affecting CPUs. Moreover, these CPUs are used in the majority of computer systems and servers worldwide. Unfortunately, these susceptibilities are industry-wide and impacting a large number of computer services, including SaaS providers, like ourselves.

We would like to assure you, we are taking all available steps to safeguard our platform and PlaidCloud customer data. Currently, our Security Operations and Engineering teams are evaluating PlaidCloud’s exposure and are monitoring the information being released around the affected hardware.

Additionally, we will have our patch remediation plan finalized very soon and will begin patching the security vulnerabilities. However, due to the impact of these , we will be fixing systems as quickly as possible. As a result, this may not provide enough lead times before system outages occur.  We apologize for this short-term inconvenience. However, our top priority is the protection of our security systems and customer data and we feel this matter needs immediate action.
